ABSTRACT: The benefits of nature-based learning in early childhood highlight the importance of outdoor experiences in fostering holistic child development. This study investigates how nature-based learning programs benefit early childhood development. The objectives are to (1) assess improvements in children's physical, cognitive, and emotional development, (2) evaluate the integration of nature-based activities in early childhood education curricula, and (3) examine changes in environmental awareness and appreciation. A survey design is employed to collect comprehensive data on the impacts of nature-based learning. A purposive sample of 120 children from preschools in Ekiti State was used. The case study focuses on a preschool known for its nature-based learning approach. Findings revealed significant improvements in children's physical, cognitive, and emotional development, the effectiveness of nature-based activities, and positive changes in environmental awareness and appreciation. Recommendations included incorporating nature-based activities into early childhood curricula and creating outdoor learning environments to support holistic development.
